The exhibition Dirty Materials: Undoing, Dismantling, Undesigning is opening on Thursday 22nd of January at 7:00PM. It will be on show in our exhibition space et al. until Saturday 7th of February.

To celebrate the second anniversary of the architect-led space et al., we presented Sanctuary, a work by Pier Vittorio Aureli. The exhibition opening took place on Friday, July 4 at 6:00 pm.
Created between 2015 and 2025, Sanctuary is a 15-meter-long drawing executed with a Rotring Rapidograph pen on 30 sheets of Schoeller paper. Depicting a wall—the most elementary architectural form—the work is part of Aureli’s ongoing investigation into non-compositional architectural elements.

Sanctuary is a 15 meters long drawing produced by Pier Vittorio Aureli between 2015 and 2025. It was drawn with Rotring Rapidograph pen on 30 sheets of Schoeller paper 30cm x 50cm.
Sanctuary represents a wall, the simplest and perhaps primordial form of architecture. In doing so, it returns to the essential aspects of architecture such as repetition and difference, inside and outside etc.
Sanctuary is part of Aureli’s ongoing enquiry into elements of ‘non-compositional’ architecture.
