PAS MAL, published by Walkscapes, is a collection of 200 photos by Celeste Tellarini, all taken in Brussels between 2019 and 2026, presenting the city’s daily encounters, details and scenes of ordinary life.

PAS MAL originated from an obsessive documentation of what Celeste was noticing, from a spontaneous fascination with what often goes unseen and from a stubbornness that stretched a habit into seven years. The main purpose of this series is not only to present a city through fragments, details and situations, but to celebrate the act of noticing itself. It is a process of revaluation of the ordinary and of beige places, but also of unplanned human inventions, and of unexpected contrasts and coexistences.

Celeste Tellarini (IT, b. 1994) is an architect and photographer based in Brussels. Her work as photographer is based on a continuous stream of images shared daily, forming a public archive of details of super-ordinary places.

Walkscapes is a publishing platform based in Brussels, founded in 2016 by Gianni Villa (FR, b. 1990) and Wanling Chang (TW, b. 1987). It produces books, magazines, and exhibitions about the slow exploration of contemporary territories through the act of walking.

On Thursday 24 September at 7pm, Wanling Chang, Celeste Tellarini & Gianni Villa will present their work in our exhibition space et al., ... followed by a "Brussels Tombola"!

The event will continue as a three-day exhibition in our exhibition space.
