In the framework of Baukunst's "Recent Works" exhibition we were delighted to welcome Nikolaus Hirsch and Adrien Verschuere on Monday 20 of April in our exhibition space et al, for a conversation on the occasion of the launch of "Frame", a new publication by Baukunst, following the recent completion of their eponymous project.

The book traces the development of the Frame project (2022–2025), an experimental "house of media" in Brussels, exploring architecture as a flexible system of platforms, screens, and service cores shaped by a shifting program and urban context. Through photographs by Romain Cavallin and a rich set of construction drawings, the publication reveals the project's layered and adaptable nature. We were joined on April 20 at et al, to follow the continuation of the discussion begun in the publication. With the help of Baukunst and Kanal Architecture.

As part of the Recent Works exhibition by Baukunst, we were delighted to welcome Nikolaus Hirsch and Adrien Verschuere for a discussion on Monday, April 20, in our exhibition space.

Following the completion of one of its emblematic projects in Brussels, the office has published the book Frame*. The publication traces the development of the Frame project (2022–2025), an experimental "house of media" in Brussels that explores architecture as a flexible system of platforms, screens, and service cores shaped by a shifting program and urban context. Through photographs by Romain Cavallin and a rich set of construction drawings, the book reveals the project's layered and adaptable nature.

The publication includes As if there was no end, a discussion between Nikolaus Hirsch, artistic director of Kanal Architecture, and Adrien Verschuere, founder of Baukunst, aimed at further clarifying the office's position and its approach to the project. By questioning architecture as a medium, the two protagonists address the various fields explored during the development of Frame, as well as the broader issues that animate Baukunst's practice, discussing architecture through the different prisms the discipline engages.

On April 20 at 7 pm, Nikolaus Hirsch and Adrien Verschuere extended this discussion at et al. during an evening that closed the Recent Works exhibition and offered a new opportunity to reflect on architecture as a medium.
