| common:more-info | n recent decades, architecture has become increasingly entangled with neoliberal systems of production, finance, and governance. The book Architecture in the Age of Neoliberalism explores how these conditions influence the way buildings are designed, commissioned, and realized. Edited by Studio Kempe Thill (André Kempe and Oliver Thill, together with Amelie Bimberg), this book presents a series of essays, reflections, and case studies that critically examine the role of architecture within contemporary economic and political frameworks. It addresses questions of authorship, labour, efficiency, and the shifting position of the architect in a globalised market. Bringing together voices from architectural practice and theory, the publication contributes to ongoing debates in architectural theory, critical urbanism, and the political economy of design. On Thursday 15 October at 7:00 PM, Amelie Bimberg and André Kempe gathered in our exhibition space et al. for a conversation around the publication. The evening began with a short presentation contextualising the book within Studio Kempe Thill’s teaching activities, followed by a discussion between the two editors. This gathering at et al. offered an opportunity to discover the publication and explore the questions it raises. |
